trigger solder
I was having some issues with my new ebay triggers and 430EX. I would get a number of random flashes from the receiving unit even though the transmitter was not firing.
After doing some research online, I found two fixes that seem to really help. I also found another fix that
First, cut a length of wire just under 6.1" long. Solder it to the lower point on the existing antenna.
I cut a notch in the casing so that the wire could pass through uninhibited.
Second, I decided to beef up the grounding system in the receiver (it helps performance of my car, why not a flash trigger). I soldered a small length of wire from the negative battery terminal to the hotshoe terminal on the left.
After these mods, I was getting a lot of false triggers until I changed the chanels 1 ON, 2 ON
After that, I have only had one false trigger in about 30 flashes.

is it okay when I solder the cable direct on antenna? or should I solder it like you on on the lower point? greets eldar
